Greetings All:
What a mess. The LC Republican Party has been saving stuff that has been left over from years past, paper plates, flatware, float decorations, left over obsolete campaign materials, all the leftover bathroom cleaning supplies from past offices, and we have been paying rent on that stuff.
The grandkids and I moved it over to the NEW OFFICE at the Pleasant Hill shopping center. The address is 35817 Highway 58, for those of you that have navigation. The official opening will be September 1st, but we are going to meet there for August’s LCR Executive Board Meeting. The community of Pleasant Hill is pretty excited, along with those of us who want the Republican Party of Lane County to have a home.
Since my last letter, the Kate Brown recall started as of July 15th, the six month anniversary of the governor, and we have had events underway starting with the rodeo, July 3. We collected 500 signatures on various petitions there, and a little over 1100 signatures at the Lane County Fair. We’ll see what we get at the Harrisburg tractor pull the weekend of August 2-3.
If you would like to help gather signatures in a certain area, here are the things that you will need: a pop-up canopy, at least three people, a good corner, lots of water. Be prepared for good conversation. Give yourselves about 3-4 hours. It will be amazing. If you call ahead of time, I will meet you at the new office to give you petitions and to show you how to get started.
On August 23 we are holding a golf tournament and we DO NOT have enough golfers. If you can swing at flies in the kitchen, you can golf in this tournament. It will be a great deal of fun. The more the merrier. The price includes lunch, and I will be able to meet a great many of you at the event. Click here to sign up.
